Overview
Operation Starting Line (OSL) is a network of national, regional and state ministries and organizations working together to support prisoners, their families and the prison community through evangelism, discipleship and collaboration.
The collaboration presently includes ministries and organizations that vary in size and focus, lending resources and expertise to both Operation Starting Line and America’s prisons.

OSL Sweeps New Mexico
From September 14th to 23rd, Operation Starting Line brought Christ’s message of hope and transformation to the prisoners at 15 facilities across New Mexico. One hundred eighty-six prisoners made new commitments to Christ and 166 recommitted their lives after hearing the Gospel from 15 musicians and speakers, including a power-lifter who knows OSL inside and out. In 2000 Mike Benson was serving time in Jackson State Prison, Michigan, for armed bank robbery. That’s when he attended an OSL event where he heard former mafia member and ex-prisoner Rocco Morelli tell his story of transformation through Christ. “I know that that was a turning point for me, the place where I never looked back,” Mike said.
