We're Not Afraid of the Dark
Prison can be a dark place. Separation from loved ones drives many prisoners to extreme loneliness. And guilt from their crimes leads many to believe that they are beyond hope.
But we believe that there is a light that shines brighter than the shadows of prison.
Prison Fellowship partners with dozens of Christian ministries to bring the transforming message of Jesus Christ to prisoners across the country through in-prison outreaches known as Operation Starting Line (OSL). At a typical OSL event, musicians, performers, and speakers take the stage to share the hope of Christ. Volunteers mingle with prisoners, praying with them and offering encouragement.
After attending an OSL event on an Easter Sunday, a prisoner named Chris wrote, "I believe that I am serving my purpose for God now. I am no longer a criminal. I am now a giver. Jesus lives!"
Wouldn't you love the chance to witness change like that? Will you accept the challenge to bring the light to the darkness of prison?
